Direct-hire recruitment is normally a one-time fee based on the role's first-year salary. Your actual rates, fees, payment terms, and any replacement terms are set out in a signed service agreement or placement confirmation before work begins.

We prioritize responsive communication and review each request before estimating timing. The schedule depends on the occupation, location, certification requirements, candidate availability, employer requirements, and market supply; no shortlist timeframe is guaranteed.

What is the difference between temporary, contract, and direct hire?

Accepted Answer

Temporary and contract workers are payrolled through our arrangement and assigned to your site for a defined period or scope. Direct hire means we recruit and screen, and you hire the person onto your own payroll. Which model applies to your request, and who carries employment responsibility, is confirmed in writing before placement.

Who is responsible for WCB coverage and payroll on a placement?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the engagement model. For temporary and contract assignments, coverage and payroll responsibility are set out in the signed service agreement; for direct hire, the worker is your employee from the start date. We confirm the applicable WCB coverage before a temporary placement starts and can provide proof of coverage to qualified employer clients on request.

Do you verify credentials before sending candidates?

How does credential verification work, step by step?

Accepted Answer

First we review your application against the role. Next we confirm your work history and references. Then we verify your credentials directly with the issuing body — a Red Seal or trade certificate through Alberta Apprenticeship, RN registration through CRNA, LPN or HCA registration through CLHA, a Class 1 or Class 3 licence and driver's abstract through Alberta registries, and safety tickets such as CSTS-2020, H2S Alive, or First Aid with the issuing provider. Finally we confirm your right to work in Canada. Only after those checks are complete do we present you to an employer.

What documents should I have ready?

A current resume, your trade ticket or professional registration number, a valid photo ID, proof of your right to work in Canada, any safety certificates for the work you want, and — for driving roles — a recent driver's abstract. Clear photos or PDFs are fine.

What if my ticket or certificate has expired?

Tell us up front. We can often still work with you on roles that do not require that credential, and point you to the renewal path. We do not present expired credentials to employers.

How long does the process take?

We acknowledge applications within one business day. How quickly you are matched depends on open assignments in your industry, your location and availability, and how fast credential checks come back from the issuing bodies.

Who employs me on a temporary assignment?

Accepted Answer

For temporary and contract assignments, your employment and payroll arrangement is confirmed in writing before you start, including pay rate, schedule, site, and who your employer of record is. For direct-hire roles, you are hired onto the client's payroll.
